HOW DO OUR PRODUCTS WORK?

Why should I resole and protect my shoes?

You should always protect your shoes by applying a protective designer rubber sole before you wear them. By applying a protective sole you will prevent wear and tear of the shoe, protect the sole, ensure the sole has grip and it will make the shoes easier to walk in.

Some people say that if you put a protective sole on the shoe it will affect the shoe?

The designer rubber soles that we sell are from Vibram and are made of rubber between 1.0mm and 1.8mm and have been extensively tested. The rubber is so thin that it will not affect the balance of the shoes.

Our products can be used by women and men.

Our products are made to protect all shoe soles and sold in a few different sizes. For women and men.

RED SOLE CARE & REPAIR

What is the best way to protect red soled shoes?

There are a few ways to protect red soled shoes and many people choose one or two of the options below. Some people use our Shoe Sole Paint in red to paint the scuffs and scratches, or paint the scratches and scuffs and apply a clear Sole Sticker to keep the red in place. Some people use the red sole paint to repair scuffs and scratches and then have a repairer apply a red Designer Rubber Sole. There is no right or wrong way to repair the soles. It will depend on how your soles are worn when used and what you want to repair and protect the soles with.
1. Shoe Sole Paint in Red
The Shoe Sole Paint in Red is used to cover up all scuffs and scratches on the red soles. Most people use this paint to repair and restore the soles to a red shiny enamel finish to look like the original sole. It is a water based enamel paint which dries to a shiny cover to match the original sole. The paint will last for a few wears and can be reapplied when it wears off. This can be applied easily and takes 10 to 20 minutes to dry. We suggest waiting 24 hours before you wear the shoes to allow the paint to harden for a longer lasting result.
2. Clear Sole Stickers
The Sole Stickers in clear are a self adhesive grip enhanced sticker that makes the shoes easier to walk in and takes minutes to apply to the sole. Please note that our Sole Stickers are made to stick. This is a temporary solution and will last 10 to 20 wears. The stickers can be applied to the new shoe soles before they are worn.
We recommend that you test the stickers on an enamel covered sole before you apply the sticker onto the entire sole. As the adhesive in the sticker is strong it may remove some of the paint when you take the sticker off. Make sure that you apply gentle heat using a hairdryer to soften the sticker before you try to remove it. If you remove any paint we suggest using Shoe Sole Paint in red to repair any areas that need new paint.
3. Designer Rubber Vibram Sole in Red
The Designer Rubber sole in red is the best way to protect the red soles. The rubber sole is 1.0mm thin and does not change the look of the shoe. It is a long term solution and the red is as close to the red sole colour as we can manufacture.
You will need glue and scissors to apply these soles which is why we suggest taking your shoes to a shoe repairer for a professional fit. The soles will last for at least 50 wears.

DESIGNER RUBBER SOLE

Does the rubber sole colour match the sole colour of designer shoes?

We sell the widest range of colours of the designer rubber sole by Vibram. The colours on our site are photographed as close to the exact colour so that you can match it with the original sole colour of your shoe.

The red Vibram sole is as close to the red sole colour of a Christian Louboutin painted red sole. The Vibram soles are made of natural rubber and sometimes the colour can vary dependent on the manufacturing process.

We sell over 10 colours of Vibram 1.0mm rubber soles.

If you would like a specific colour please do let us know and we will help you find it.

What size should I buy for my shoes?

We sell the designer rubber sole in two sizes. The half sole measures 16.7cm by 10.8cm and will fit up to a women size 42/men size 43. The full sole measures 14cm by 29cm and will fit up to a woman size 43/men size 47.

If you are note sure if this will fit you can measure the sole of your shoe and the area that you would like to cover to ensure the sole will be the right fit for your shoe.

The sole does not look like it will fit my shoe?

The designer rubber sole comes in two sizes and will fit all sole sizes. Once the sole is applied to the shoe the excess rubber material is cut off and discarded so that the sole is cut to perfectly fit your sole.

How do I put the designer rubber soles on my shoes?

The designer rubber sole does not come with glue or self adhesive. You will need glue to apply the soles.

There are two ways that you can apply the soles to your shoes. We recommend a shoe repair for a perfect fit and finish.

1. Shoe Repairer. You can take the shoes and soles to a shoe repairer and they will apply the soles for you. The soles are applied in the same way that a normal shoe sole is applied. The repairer will have machines to ensure that the sole is perfectly fitted to your shoe which will ensure maximum protection to your shoe.

2. Leather Glue. You can use leather glue (we recommend Shoe Goo). You will need to clean the sole with a damp cloth to ensure that the sole will adhere to the shoe. It is best if the sole has a rough surface so that the glue will stick to the rubber and to the shoe. Once you have applied glue to the shoe you can apply the rubber sole to the shoe and position the rubber sole in place. Once the sole is in place you can cut off the excess rubber with scissors to fit the designer rubber sole to your shoe. Ensure that you apply pressure to the designer rubber sole and the shoe to ensure the glue sticks and the designer rubber sole stays in place.

SOLE STICKER

Why should I use the Sole Sticker?

The Sole Sticker was the first product on the market to instantly protect the whole sole of your shoe. The grip enhanced film provides instants protection, grip and coverage. The sole stickers will withstand mud, dirt, oil and water.

The sticker is a great way to protect the shoe sole with a protective cover as a temporary solution in minutes. Without having to go to a shoe repairer.

The sticker will last for 10+ wears depending on the surfaces you walk on and how many times you wear the shoes.

It is available in clear and in black.

How do I apply the Sole Sticker?

It's easy! The Sole Sticker is a self adhesive, grip imprinted sticker that you can stick straight onto your shoe sole and cut to the shoe sole shape.

The stickers (sold as two in a pack) are in a rectangle shape. The clear sticker is 8.90cm by 16.50cm and the black sticker is 10.8cm by 18.4cm.

If you have worn the shoes please make sure that you clean the shoe sole surface with a damp cloth to remove any dirt on the sole.

Once the sole is dry peel the sticker of the backing and apply to the sole for the coverage you need. Once it is applied use your fingers to smooth out any bubbles and to make sure the sticker is glued to the edge of your shoe.

Once the sticker is applied you can use scissors to cut around the edge of the shoe sole to remove the excess plastic. You can wear the shoes immediately after application.

Will the Sole Sticker work on my red soled shoes or other coloured painted soles?

The Sole Sticker will work on all shoe soles. But if you the shoe sole is made of a delicate material or is painted with enamel please make sure that you do a test on the shoe sole before you apply the sticker.

The Sole Sticker is made to stick - so when you remove the sticker it may remove parts of the painted sole as well.

If this happens you can repair and restore the colour with our Shoe Sole Paints.

Is the Sole Sticker completely clear?

Not completely. The Sole Sticker has grip imprinted into it which makes it look slightly spotty as the grip creates a raised surface on the sole.

How many times can I use the Sole Sticker?

The Sole Sticker is made to stick but it is not reusable. You can only apply the sticker once and remove it once.

It will last for anywhere from 10 + wears and is dependent on how many times you wear the shoes and the surfaces you walk on.

How do I remove the Sole Sticker?

The Sole Sticker is made to stick so it may be hard to peel the sticker off your shoe depending on how many times you have worn the shoe.

The best way to remove the sticker is use the gentle heat from a hairdryer on the sticker to make the plastic softer and easier to peel off.

Please be careful and remove the sticker slowly. If you have shoe soles that are covered in a coloured enamel paint (most designer shoes especially Christian Louboutin, Gucci, Louis Vuitton and more) you may peel off the original paint when you remove the Sole Sticker which is why we advise that you always test the shoe sole before you apply the Sole Sticker.

If you do remove the original sole you will be able to repair this with our Shoe Sole Paints. Or you can apply a more permanent solution with a pair of designer rubber soles.

I spend a lot of time applying masking tape to sample shoes for photo shoots and runway at Fashion Week. Will the Sole Sticker make this easier?

Absolutely. Our Sole Sticker was made in conjunction with the Press Team at a very well known shoe designer in London to protect their sample shoes for shoots and runway shows.

The sticker is a clear surface that you can stick on in one process, cut to shape quickly and then peel off when the show is over. The sticker is superior to masking tape as it will protect the shoe from dirt, oil, mud and water.

If you are protecting shoe soles that are covered in a coloured enamel paint (most designer shoes especially Christian Louboutin, Gucci, Louis Vuitton and more) you may peel off the original paint when you remove the Sole Sticker which is why we advise that you always test the shoe sole before you apply the Sole Sticker.

SHOE SOLE PAINT

Does the paint colour match the sole colour of designer shoes?

We sell the widest range of colours of the our one of a kind shoe sole paint.
The colours on our site are photographed as close to the exact colour so that you can match it with the original sole colour of your shoe.

The red shoe sole paint is as close to the red sole colour of a Christian Louboutin painted red sole as possible.

How many pairs of shoes will one jar cover?

The paint will cover at the entire sole of the shoe that you walk on at least ten times. This will depend on how much paint you need to apply and how damaged your soles are.

How many coats of paint do I need to apply?

The numbers of times you will need to paint the soles will depend on how scratched and damaged they are. We suggest at least two coats of paint to the damaged area.

How long will the touch up last?

This will depend on how often you wear the shoes, the surfaces that you walk on and how much paint you apply to the damaged areas. The paint dries to a hard enamel to last longer.

How long should I wait for the paint to dry before I can wear the shoes again?

The paint will dry within 10 to 20 minutes but for the best results we suggest that you wait 24 hours for the paint to dry until you wear the shoes. The longer the paint has to dry, the longer the paint will last as it will have more time to set.
